for students entering grades 5 & 6
Students in grades 5 and 6 are invited to try our IMAGINE program. Classes engage students to expand their creative zone by exploring new possibilities in the areas of drawing, painting and sculpture. Fall semester, 2018, offers 7 exciting lessons. Classes meet for 14 weeks, once a week including Tuesdays, 5:00 to 6:30 pm and Saturdays, noon to 1:30 pm. Projects will include:
- Fall Rooster Painting
- Pumpkins in the Moonlight Colored Pencil
- Haunted Castle Inspired by Jan Pienkowski, Mixed Media
- Dia de Muertos Pet Caricatures
- Indian Corn Still Life
- Trees in Early Winter Acrylic Painting
- A Penguins on Holiday Sculpture
PROGRAM GOALS: building confidence in one’s creative ability, exercising problem-solving skills, improving design and rendering skills, exploring new media, artists & cultures, thinking outside the box, and appreciating the artist’s task. Students who complete one semester receive a Cherry Court Studios IMAGINE medal.
