Marianne Massucci
For most of her 27 years in public education, Marianne C Massucci managed an art department for grades 7-12. She taught general art, as well as studios in design, drawing, painting, ceramics, metals, and fabrics. Her students entered the Western Pennsylvania Scholastic Art Awards Competition annually, winning Hallmark (best of show), Outstanding Senior Portfolio, Best of Category, and lots of gold keys. Her special-needs students received top awards in ARC-Allegheny’s annual competitions. She is a proponent of after-school programs. She routinely sponsored Art Club, Art Enrichment and National Art Honor Society. Marianne is a practicing artist who has exhibited paintings in juried shows nationally. Her acrylic series explores cultural ideals. The painting (left) called “Compassion” tells the story of the Good Samaritan. Click here to see more of her paintings.
She is a professional graphic designer and scenic artist. She spent the past two years developing the Art Challenge Program for middle school students. She received her teaching degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and did graduate work at Pennsylvania State University.
