Monumental Beginnings

Cherry Court Studios inspires kids who love to draw. Our students may become great artists, or enjoy careers in the visual arts. And for those who don't choose art-related fields, these creative skills will last a lifetime.

REGISTRATION: We make every effort to place students in their first-choice class; otherwise, assignments are made in the order registration forms are received. Tuition must be received no later than the first day of class. There is no compensation for classes that a student misses. However, make-up opportunities are flexible and easy to arrange. No refunds will be given after the second class. Workshops are considered as separate classes.

CLASS ATTENDANCE: To make optimum progress, students must attend class regularly.  When it is not possible to attend class due to illness or schedule conflict, it is easy to may up the class. Students may attend class on a different day or wait until the end of the semester.  Between semesters the studio remains open at regular times for students to make up missed classes.

Students are expected to arrive on time and remain for the full class, unless parents or guardians phone or pick up students personally. Students may not leave the mezzanine area during class. They may only leave the classroom to use the restroom on the same floor. Students may not go down into the mall during class.

Students come from a wide area of Allegheny County. The weather may cause dangerous driving in one area, while not affecting another area. Stay home and stay safe if driving conditions in your area are dangerous. It is easy to make up a class. If weather conditions are unsafe along McKnight Road, the instructor will contact families, and class will be canceled for that evening. Classes canceled due to inclement weather, power outage, or other necessity will be rescheduled.

CLASS BEHAVIOR: Students are required to treat others with dignity and respect. Students are expected to use class time productively, and not engage in behaviors that might prevent others from doing their work. During the school year, students must remember to bring materials with them each week and come prepared to work.

The following behaviors will result in immediate dismissal from Cherry Court Studios: engaging in illegal activity, carrying illegal substances, failure to follow safety regulations.

NON-DISCRIMINATION: Cherry Court Studios does not discriminate in its program of education on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, or handicap/disability.
