SPRING SEMESTER 2024 Registration

Art Challenge Online, individualized foundation learning for middle school and beginning artists, as well as Intensive Skill Development Online, individualized foundation learning for high school, is now open for registration. Instruction will begin Feb 3.

How to Register:

After reviewing general information below, proceed to our online registration page. Click “Register” under the appropriate course title. You will be directed to fill out an online registration form. When you click “Submit,” you will be redirected to PayPal for payment. Use your PayPal account, or pay with a credit card.

Registrations will be accepted through Feb. 4 , 2024. Currently, only continuing students who have completed fall semester may register for spring semester due to class size restrictions. New students should email contact@cherrycourtstudios.com indicating that they wish to be placed on a wait list should a seat become available.

General Information for Spring Semester

Course Length, Art Materials, and Instructional Style
The length of a semester is 17 weeks. The cost of art materials will continue to be included in the price of tuition. Miss M will provide direct-to-home delivery service.  Instruction at CCS is individualized. There are no group classes. Each student receives a weekly individualized instructional packet and has weekly video conferences with the instructor.

Prerequisites for participating in Online Instruction:
1. Art Challenge students must be in at least grade seven or above and read at a seventh-grade level.
2. Students must have access to a computer and printer.
3. Students must have an email address separate from parents for the delivery of instructional packets and download the Google Duo app on their phone or device for video chatting.
4. Students must be able to email screenshots of their work in progress each week.

Middle School Program
Art Challenge Online is an individualized foundation program for middle school students in grades 7 through 9, as well as older students beginning their art studies for the first time. Individualized instructional packets along with progress notes and artwork critiques will be delivered via email each Sunday prior to class. Students will work on their assignments a minimum of two hours per session and will email a screenshot of their work at the end of each work session. Virtual studio time will be from 1:00 to 5:00 pm each Sunday for 17 weeks, Feb. 4 through June 2, 2024. During studio time, students are free to interact with the instructor through video chatting, email, and phone. For more information click here.

High School Programs
Intensive Skill Development Online is an individualized high school program for students in grades 9 and above who have completed at least 12 Challenges in the Art Challenge Program. Individualized instructional packets along with progress notes and artwork critiques will be delivered via email each Saturday prior to class. Students will work on their assignments a minimum of two hours per session and will email a screenshot of their work at the end of each work session. Virtual studio time will be from 1:00 to 5:00 pm each Saturday for 17 weeks, Feb. 3 through May 25, 2024. Students will meet with the instructor once each week at a mutually agreed upon time using video chatting to discuss progress.

Advanced students who have completed Intensive Skill Development may progress to portfolio development classes for high school choosing either Senior Portfolio Development or In-Depth Study. For more information click here.
